There’s no set answer to the question where is there snow in march because each season is unique. However, there are some places that typically see a lot of snow through the spring months.
In the Western United States, some areas of the Rockies and High Plains still receive plenty of snow well into April and May. In fact, many of these regions call this the snowiest month of the year.
Colorado, Utah and North Dakota are a few of these regions that typically see a lot of snow through this time frame. Some even call this the best month to ski or snowboard.
March is often the most ideal month to go skiing in these destinations because the snowpack is at its deepest this time of year. That means that you can expect to find everything from powder to corn snow at your favorite resorts this time of year.
The Black Hills of South Dakota are also another destination that typically sees a lot of snow in the spring months. Located on the western side of the state close to Wyoming, they don’t see much snow in the winter but get quite a bit of it by the end of March and into May.
