What is the Weather in Aruba?

June 1, 2023

The weather in aruba is excellent year round, and this fact is one of the reasons why Aruba has one of the highest return visit rates of all Caribbean islands. The temperature never deviates too far from a comfortable 82 degrees Fahrenheit, and the sea is warm enough to swim in throughout the year.

The only significant variations are in the amount of sunshine. The amount of cloud cover is fairly stable throughout the year, but there is a short rainy season that runs from October to December. The rain is usually quite short-lived and mainly happens in the afternoon, allowing for plenty of sunshine afterward.

During this period the prevailing winds are easterly, known as trade winds. These cool the temperatures and reduce humidity. They also make lying on the beach much more tolerable, although you still have to use a good quality sunscreen with at least an SPF of 30 to protect your skin.

April is the lone spring month and marks the crossing over from the mild winter to the slightly hotter summer. Temperatures are warm and dry, with an average daily temperature of 27 degrees Celsius. This is also the month in which the most sunshine is found on the island.

This chart shows the average rainfall of the island per day, and also the number of days that experience rain or snow. Rainfall is mainly in the form of short showers, and the chance of showers is at its peak during November and December.
