How to Meditate in Assassin's Creed Valhalla

June 8, 2024

Assassin's Creed Valhalla is a Viking-inspired action-adventure game developed and published by Ubisoft. It was released for PlayStation 4, Windows, Xbox One, Xbox Series X and Stadia on November 10, 2020 and received mixed to positive reviews. It became the fastest-selling game in the franchise and second highest-grossing Ubisoft title ever. The game was followed by two years of free and paid expansions, a story-based game mode and several gameplay improvements.

During the main story of AC Valhalla, there are some quests that require you to show up at specific times of day. Thankfully, the game gives you an easy way to skip time by meditating. It works similarly to how you can meditate in Assassin's Creed Odyssey and The Witcher 3. All you need to do is press down on the D-pad and select Meditate from the menu that pops up.

This will play a short cutscene and automatically skip time forward to the next day or night. It's a great option for when you need to get somewhere but don't have enough time to wait around.

The meditating mechanic in AC Valhalla is pretty simple but the game does a poor job of notifying you that it even exists. Thankfully, there's a quick guide to meditating in Assassin's Creed Valhalla over at Twinfinite so you can quickly change the time of day without waiting around for hours. To do so, simply press down on the D-pad and select the Meditate icon from the menu that appears.
