How to Meditate in Assassin's Creed Odyssey

June 8, 2024

While exploring the expansive open world of ancient Greece in Assassin's Creed Odyssey, players may want to change the time of day. Thankfully, the game offers this capability. Like in Assassin's Creed Origins, the game allows players to manually pass the time of day by meditating, allowing your character to instantly shift from day to night or vice versa. While the game never tells players how to meditate or what the process entails, it's fairly simple.

To meditate in Assassin's Creed Odyssey, all you need to do is press and hold the touch pad on PS4 or the view button on Xbox One. While your character won't go to sleep, the game will move time forward about 12 hours, which allows players to quickly change the time of day to whatever they want. The only caveat is that you cannot meditate in dangerous areas or while fighting enemies, so it's best to wait until a safe spot before pressing the button.
