How to Make Floam Slime

April 8, 2023

Floam is a great slime toy for kids. It contains tiny polystyrene balls that you can mold and shape to make your own fun creations!

Usually, it can be difficult to find this kind of slime in stores and online, but you can make your own homemade version with some basic ingredients. The results are just as exciting and a lot more cheap than the commercial product!

What You Need:

To begin, gather a few basic ingredients for floam. You will need white glue, water, borax, shredded Styrofoam cups and food coloring.

First, dissolve 2 teaspoons of borax in half a cup of warm water. This mixture will give you a very stiff floam, but you can also use one teaspoon of borax for a more fluid slime.

Next, mix a quarter cup of white glue with a quarter cup of water and add in some food coloring to the mixture. If you want to make a brighter colored floam, add in more of the polystyrene beads.

You can also mix in confetti balls to the mix for a more interesting texture! If you’re using confetti, make sure they are in small sizes so that your slime won’t fall apart too easily.

Step 4: Pour your borax and glue mixture into a plastic zipper storage bag. Then, add in the shredded Styrofoam cups. Squeeze the mixture around in the bag until it begins to solidify.
