How Much Do LeBron 13 Cost?

March 12, 2024

The LeBron 13 has been one of Nike’s best-selling signature shoes for the superstar since it first launched back in October 2015, generating hundreds of millions of dollars in sales. The model has been released in a ton of different colorways, from the maroon and silver “Opening Night” to the blood-splattered “Friday the 13th.” In addition, the sneaker has also been available for customization via NIKEiD.

The latest look to drop is this “Black Lion” edition, which features an elevated two-tone finish. The shoe’s synthetic upper with Hyperposite overlays is rendered in a bold shade of black, while hits of iridescent adorn the forefoot Swoosh and heel. The shoe’s final detail is the oversized lion graphic that represents one of James’ earliest tattoos.

Nike and the star player’s business relationship dates back years, and his signature shoe line has been a top seller in Northeast Ohio since its debut. In fact, the LeBron 13 is the most successful sneaker ever sold by Nike in its hometown of Akron, with a total of 2.8 million pairs sold. The Cleveland Cavaliers star and the sports apparel company are set to launch the newest iteration of the shoe at an event Sunday at the University of Akron’s E.J. Thomas Hall.

The shoes feature a design that celebrates the athlete’s roots in Akron, with subtle nods including the crossed-out XIII on the heel and the word “Akronite” on the outsole. The model is designed for players who rely on their unstoppable blend of speed and power to dominate the game, and it’s equipped with Zoom Air units for responsive cushioning.
