highest point in Wyoming

Across the state, Wyoming is home to stunning mountain ranges. This makes it the perfect place to explore and hike a variety of terrain, from scenic drives to pristine alpine lakes.

The highest point in Wyoming is Gannett Peak, located in the Wind River Range. This mountain is known among mountaineers as one of the most difficult high-point summits in the United States, especially after Alaska's Denali and Montana's Granite Peak.

A remote and untamed wilderness, this Wyoming mountain is a challenging climb for even the most experienced mountaineers. Despite this, mountaineers are able to reach the summit on numerous occasions each year.

Fremont Peak is the third highest peak in Wyoming, with a height of 13,745 ft above sea level. This peak is part of the Wind River Range and is on the border between the counties of Sublette and Fremont.

Mount Warren is another mountain in the Wind River Range that can be accessed from several different trailheads. The most popular trailhead is Elkhart Park, located in Pinedale. From here, you can hike the Pole Creek Lakes Trail to gain incredible views of Mount Warren.

Medicine Bow Peak is another mountain that can be accessed from several different trailheads, and is considered a local hidden gem in southern Wyoming. This mountain offers hiking trails ranging from 1.6 to 7.5 miles, and is a great way to see the beauty of the Wyoming wilderness.

Cedar Mountain (also Spirit Mountain) is a Wyoming mountain that can be accessed from the town of Cody, near Yellowstone National Park. This mountain offers some of the best views in the area, with sweeping views of Shoshone Canyon, Buffalo Bill Reservoir, and Cody itself.
